What Dozumo stores, why we use it, and how you stay in control.

Updated 6 November 2026

Who is responsible

Dozumo is operated by Padify AB, a Swedish company (559575-8581), which is responsible for the personal data described here. Contact [email protected]. This notice covers the Dozumo app and website.

A parent account, child profiles

A parent or guardian creates the account and manages the family. Children use profiles within that family. You can use a nickname for a child. Family information is available to the parents and devices you connect to that family; it is not a public profile.

What we store

  • Parent account: email address, securely stored password credentials, sign-in sessions, language and family/device settings. If you contact us, we receive your message and contact details.
  • Child profiles: first name or nickname, age, avatar, room, display preferences, routines, tasks, learning steps, completion history, Zumos, rewards and items collected or worn. Custom task and reward text is also stored.
  • Optional task photos: only images you choose for cards. The app creates a smaller image and removes source metadata before saving it with the family’s tasks. The original remains in your photo library. Photos sync to connected family devices; switching photos off does not delete them.
  • Subscriptions: family identifier, product and store, purchase/receipt information, trial or subscription period, expiry, renewal and access status, and verification records. We do not receive your full payment-card details.
  • Technical information: service and security logs, including network and device information needed to operate the service. Website analytics are described below.

Why we use it

We use this information to run the routines and rewards you set up, save progress, sync connected devices, authenticate parents, manage paid access and answer support requests. We do not sell family data or use it for behavioural advertising. There are no advertising or third-party analytics tools in the child’s app experience.

Our legal grounds

We process parent account and subscription information to perform our agreement with you. We rely on legitimate interests to provide the private family routines and progress tracking you choose for your child, answer support requests, protect the service and understand aggregate website use. We consider children’s interests and limit this processing to those purposes. Waitlist notifications rely on your consent, which you can withdraw. We also process information when necessary to meet legal obligations.

Recorded narration

Dozumo uses prerecorded speech for task guidance and celebrations. These recordings are made in advance. Using the app does not send a child’s name or other family information to a speech-generation service. The app does not record children’s voices.

Service providers and payments

Supabase hosts the family database and account service. Resend delivers account emails. RevenueCat manages subscription access using a family identifier and purchase information. Apple or Google processes store payments under its own terms and privacy notice. Vercel hosts the website and provides its analytics. Providers receive the information needed for their services. We may also disclose information when required by law.

Website visits and the waitlist

The website uses Vercel Web Analytics for aggregated visit statistics, including pages, referrers, browser/device type and approximate location. It uses a request-derived visitor hash that is discarded after 24 hours, rather than an analytics cookie or a cross-site advertising identifier. The website’s app preview uses a necessary access cookie. Fonts are served from our own site. If you join the waitlist, we store your email address to send the launch notification; you can ask us to remove it at any time.

Where information is processed

Our family database is configured in the EU (Ireland). This does not mean that all processing stays in the EU: website hosting, email, subscription and store providers may process information elsewhere, including the United States. Their privacy and international-transfer information is linked below. Contact us for information about the safeguards applicable to your data.

Deleting your account and photos

In the app, open the parent dashboard, then Settings and Delete account. Confirm with your account password. This removes your parent account and revokes its sessions. If another parent remains in the family, shared profiles and progress remain available to them. If you are the last parent, the family’s profiles, tasks, photos and progress are also removed from the live family database. You can remove individual task photos through the photo editor in the child’s experience settings. Deleting an account or uninstalling the app does not cancel a store subscription: cancel it separately with Apple or Google.

How long information is kept

Account and family information is kept while it is needed to provide your family’s service, subject to the deletion rules above. Provider logs, retained copies and store purchase records follow their own retention rules and may not be erased at the same time as live account data. Support records are kept as needed to resolve the request and any related dispute or legal obligation. Waitlist details are kept for the requested launch notification or until you withdraw. Contact us about deletion of provider-held records or for the retention details that apply to your request.

Your choices and rights

Contact [email protected] to request access, correction, a copy or deletion of your personal data, or to ask about restricting or objecting to processing. Where processing relies on consent, you can withdraw it. We may need to verify your identity before releasing or deleting information. Account deletion does not also export your data. You can complain to Sweden’s privacy authority, IMY, or your local data-protection authority. Please avoid sending passwords, verification codes or unnecessary information about a child by email.

Children’s privacy

Dozumo is designed for use under a parent’s supervision. The app has no public profiles or chat and does not ask children for their own email address, contacts or location. Parents choose the information, custom text and photos used in their family. Contact us if you believe a child’s information has been provided without appropriate permission.
